The Role

We're looking for a Mid-Senior Level AWS DevOps Engineer to join our growing engineering team. The role will be responsible for all aspects of our serverless backend environment, including our AWS and code-pipeline flow, web application support, and modules such as our notification system.

If you love owning and shipping great backend environment code and architecture to support great customer experiences, are excited to improve our infrastructure and tooling, and are always learning and sharing best practices with the team, then this role is for you.

Either Bali-Based in-office/hybrid, or, remote. All remote team members must be located in South-East Asia time zone. With us, you have the option to stay remote or relocate to Bali.

Skills & Experience Required:

• You have 3-4+ years of engineering experience with AWS in a serverless environment and a deep understanding of the Serverless Framework.

• You have 2+ years of recent Dev Ops experience.

• 2+ years of recent Cloud system experience / AWS or equivalent certification.

• Implement AWS/Environment Security: Implementation of the system, app security, and data protection.

• Strong understanding specifically of AWS Cognito, Amplify, AWS Lambda, and API Gateways.

• Strong Self-organization, able to coordinate with the team, and work within project management.

• (Some) Experience with J2EE technologies for Web Tier and Business Logic Tier.

• Strong experience with security, data protection, and access rights (e.g. authentication, SSO).

• Experience working remotely & as part of a distributed engineering team.

• Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum framework/methodology.

• Strong problem-solving skills are essential.

• You are comfortable working with Object Oriented programming techniques.

• Experience with RESTful API design.

  
  

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain our systems with a strong eye on security, automation and testing.

• Taking ownership of systems - operations security.

• Oversee Back-End: NodeJS, DynamoDB, AWS, API’s, Scheme's, Database(s).

• Working within AWS, using knowledge/experience to progress/update/upgrade AWS services and modules.

• Lead/Direct roadmaps such as CloudFormation, DynamoDB, Amplify, Cognito, CloudWatch, and Cloud Development Kit.

• MASTER the AWS stack: S3, EC2, Code Pipeline, API Gateway, CloudFront, Route 53, SNS, VPC, Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, Code Build, Code Pipeline.

• Integrate 3rd Party apps, monitoring, code support, being awesome and on top of systems/environment maintenance/uptime, and lead systems architecture.

• Designing and building environmental dashboard tools or software deployments, supporting frontend and data teams in being awesome.

• Bring DevOps knowledge in Spatial Web and Metaverse. On the job training and education will be provided throughout the role – impress us with what you know now and your thirst for knowledge.

• Maintain, secure, and deploy production pipelines using AWS

• Can lead the team in automated deployment techniques.

• Excited to design interfaces for Ai dashboards, the Spatial Web, and more.

• Self-taught or Degree (we care about skills, not paper :-) )

• Clearly describe your abilities per language, system, and platform (we'll ask).

• Genuine curiosity with intuition about architecture, interface, systems, and structure designs.

• Likes fast-paced environments where you get to work directly with customers and make decisions, all while learning about cutting-edge technologies.

• A get-it-done attitude. For example: if the project needs an interface element, you are willing to create it. If there is boring work, you are willing, if you need to learn a new solution, you are excited to. WE WANT CURIOUS TECHNOLOGISTS WHO WANT TO BUILD, LEARN AND GROW.

• Has an extremely high bar for quality software - you can move fast and ship scalable code with the help of your team.

• Competency and motivation to tackle complex problems in a fast-paced environment without compromising the quality of the work.

• Engineer Support: Documentation, Testing Rollout, UI-Kits: make sure it works on multiple platforms.

• Strong Self-organization, Ability to multi-task and manage tasks with varying priorities - the ability to coordinate with the team, work within planning, deadlines & deliveries.

• Work-focused verbal and written communication skills and high attention to detail

• AWS: (Very) Comfortable with AWS, CI/CD knowledge/experience.

BONUS POINTS: Experience with Commerce transactions, Processing payments within Apps, Wallets, Profiles, AI Agent Engines, Edge Compute Results, Sensors, AI, AMI, ML, Meta, and Spatial Web Content.
